The Senior Manager of Operational Support Group supervises four specialty teams in Flight Operations: Experimental Flight Testing, Production Flight Testing, Demonstrations, and Fleet Support. They oversee a large number of technical experts and ensure that V-BAT flight operations in support of Production, Engineering, and Business Development are conducted safely and achieve a mission impact. Their teams perform flights all over the globe in support of challenging test and deal capture events, their pilots serve as subject matter experts in positions of strategic importance, and they allocate resources, manage risk, develop and mentor leaders, and act as a primary touchpoint for both internal and external requirements.
What You'll Do:
  • Track key performance indicators and corporate objectives and key results and ensure mission accomplishment for the Operational Support Group.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of ground and flight test events for internal and customer research and development initiatives.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of demonstration flight events for US and international customers.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of 24/7 remote technical support to all internal flight crews.
  • Supervise and execute recruiting and hiring of technical experts and pilots.
  • Implement professional development and mentorship plans for junior leaders and teammates.
  • Allocate resources, plan and execute a budget, and provide organizational analysis as needed.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
  • Senior management experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • US military and/or overseas deployed experience in a leadership role.
  • Aviation leadership experience.
  • Unmanned or manned pilot or maintenance experience.

    Total package details:
    Regular employee positions: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity
    Temporary employee positions: Hourly within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
