The Systems Architecture Team at Shield AI lays the groundwork for the team’s success in high growth organization.  We are looking for a deep-subject-matter expert in SW development as a technical leader to identify and clear key risks for development teams.  This work spans from project inception through integration and launch.    

Shield AI’s architects embed themselves in each program, providing opportunity for both leadership, mentorship, growth, and direct technical contribution. 
Projects you might work on:
  • Multidisciplinary development of architectures and approaches for a variety of autonomous robotic systems.
  • Our systems include many embedded processors, application processors, and high-power resources (bare metal, RTOS, Linux, Nvidia, etc.)
  • Our platform integrates custom HW and SW with a variety of sensors, actuators, and compute in a dense package with a variety of technical and operational challenges for a demanding customer base.
  • Our technology expands the state of the art in what is practical in AI enabled applications.
  • Help Shield grow into a premier engineering organization.
  • Required qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.

  • Strong SW proficiency across multiple languages and operating systems (C++)
  • Multidisciplinary strengths

    Total compensation: Salary within range listed above + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
    Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here. All offers are contingent on a cleared background check.

    Location guidelines-
    Onsite = 5 days/week
    Hybrid = Several days in the office
    Remote = Remote but able to come to the office as requested for business needs
