Full-Stack Engineer (Mobile)

The Role

You will be the lead developer for our AI counselor consumer mobile application. You'll work with a team of ML engineers, a PM, and a designer to implement end-user features that create the best experience for end-users who are going through mental health challenges.

You'll work with a close-knit team that ships very quickly (daily and weekly releases). You’ll be shipping features we designed and suggesting your own ideas based on feedback we receive from our users. You'll also help with improving UX by finding ways to lower latency and give due consideration to user privacy and security.

Our tech stack is mainly Flutter, Kotlin, and Python. Our app uses a speech-to-speech interface (text-to-speech, text-to-text, speech-to-text), orchestrating several machine learning models, both off-the-shelf and developed in-house.

About you

• You’ve shipped mobile apps zero-to-one and have design-driven sensibilities
• You’re fluent in multiple general-purpose programming languages. You have an appreciation for what good code looks like and have 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• You have experience with modern backend technologies and architectures like microservices, message queues, caching layers, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• You can read user metrics, collect user feedback, understand what’s happening with our users, and fix bugs quickly.
• You like being a generalist, a team player, want to own what you build, love solving really hard problems, and are driven by building a world-class product
• You can ship fast. We work at lightning speed.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-stack experience
• 1+ years experience with Flutter mobile development
• Based in NY/London

You’ll be working directly alongside our CEO, Advisers and PM, and have a front-row seat to creating a magical consumer product. You’ll learn a ton from experienced founders and teammates and work at an incredibly fast pace to ship, learn, and iterate.
