Snorkel is seeking a Workplace Experience Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping our company culture by bringing the fun and excitement to our in-office experience. As a Workplace Experience Specialist, you will work closely with the People team to create memorable moments, productive and inclusive spaces and impactful events that make Snorkel a magical place to work.

The salary range for this role, based in the Bay Area, is $120-$160K. This role requires at least 3 days per week in person - minimum of 2 in our Redwood City HQ (we have an office in SF as well). 

 

Key Responsibilities

This role reports into the Director of People & Culture, and will focus on:

In-Office Employee Experience: Treats Snorkel employees as their primary customer. Is approachable and demonstrates friendliness and a positive attitude at all times. Able to optimize and improve the in-office experience based on thematic employee feedback.

  • Workplace Set Up: Coordinate the set-up and maintenance of office facilities, ensuring a comfortable and productive work environment for employees.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of supplies and services, including cleaning, maintenance, and office equipment.
  • Landlord Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for building management and landlords, addressing any facility-related issues and coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Events Management: Plan and execute a variety of office events, including team-building activities, holiday parties, and other special occasions, to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among employees.
  • Company Offsites and Gatherings: Organize our major gathering moments in the year, whether it’s full-company offsites or mid-cycle, cross-functional meetings. Ensure environments are set up for inclusivity, productivity and maximized fun.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by implementing and maintaining appropriate protocols and procedures.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and management for workplace-related expenses, monitoring spending and identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in office administration, facilities management, or event planning is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support office events.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with colleagues, vendors, and external partners.
  • Proactive attitude and a willingness to take initiative and solve problems independently.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite and Slack, and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong program management skill set and ability to measure and iterate
  • Experience in fast-paced, tech-driven environments, preferably startups.
