Working as a Speech Engineer, you will:

• Research and Development: Collaborate on the design and development of state-of-the-art speech recognition and natural language understanding models, and their integration into our products, with a strong focus on Machine Learning.
• Algorithm Optimization: Optimize and improve speech processing algorithms with ML techniques to enhance system performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Data Analysis: Work with large datasets to gain insights, fine-tune models, and implement data-driven improvements to speech technologies.
• Innovation: Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of speech technology and ML, and contribute innovative ideas to maintain Symbl.ai's competitive edge.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and quality assurance with an ML engineering approach to ensure the reliability and robustness of speech technologies.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, developers, and product managers, to drive the development of new features and capabilities.

Please Note: Although we have concentration centers in Seattle, WA and Pune, IN - there are no restrictions on where you can be located for this role - we are fully remote.  

In order to excel in this role, you should: 

• Experience: Possess 5+ years to 10+ years of experience in speech engineering, with a strong background in Machine Learning and ML Engineering, and a proven track record of developing speech recognition systems.
• Technical Skills: Have expertise in speech processing, machine learning, and deep learning, with proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
• Strong Communication: Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a diverse team, sharing your knowledge and insights.
• Problem-Solving: Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on ML-based solutions and the capacity to approach challenges creatively.
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech technology and ML, and have a passion for pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
• Quality Focus: Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable speech technologies with a strong ML engineering mindset.
