About the job
Tome is building across a broad surface area, ranging from types of content you can use to express your work, to ways to collaborate with your team. Despite the breadth, there’s a need to execute rigorously, with great depth and attention to detail in each area to build a world-class product. To scale that, the team is looking to hire a Front End Engineer to build the team’s most important and complex projects.
Tome's Front-End team is making the Tome user experience delightful and magical. There is much innovative and challenging work ahead, from core experience of creation and consumption, to collaboration and sharing, to deep work on new types of tiles that enrich storytelling capabilities for our users.
Who you'll do
• Have large impact on the what and the how of Tome
• Build intuitive, magical, and powerful experiences that demand cutting edge browser-side wizardry across our tech stack (React, TypeScript & Node)
• Craft and develop rich application features using React, TypeScript and Apollo
• Implement high-performing and reusable UI components• Mentor teammates to become React wizards
• Work cooperatively with product management and design to create features that satisfy user needs with simplicity, consistency, and robustness
Who you are
• You have 5+ years of experience with a BS EE or CS degree, or equivalent training or work experience
• You have strong knowledge of React, GraphQL & TypeScript
Bonus Points
•Experience working as a front-end developer/full-stack in a large scale distributed environment
$140,000/year to $225,000/year + equity + benefits
