About the role

When product marketing is clicking, the features a company builds and the stories it tells work in harmony. You craft a unified customer experience that attracts, delights, and makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Product marketing at Tome sits at the intersection of product development and go-to-market. We're looking for someone who can't wait to get into the guts of a PRD, then writes a haiku to explain it.

You'll be successful by finding ways to make Tome users successful: driving the “wow, cool!” moments that give people the motivation to master a new tool.

What you’ll do

  • Lead research projects that deliver the data and user insights needed to make great decisions.
  • Segment Tome's customers and their journeys through the product, working with Growth product and marketing to ensure that people experience the magic of Tome quickly.
  • Build compelling sales and marketing materials that help prospective buyers see the value of Tome for their revenue teams.
  • At Tome you're not selling financial services, or hamburgers, or VR goggles — you're helping people express their ideas! The opportunities for interesting work are limitless.

Who you are

  • A seasoned product marketing leader with 7+ years of work experience in the field. B2B marketing experience with a PLG motion is strongly preferred.
  • A deep and empathetic cross-functional collaborator who can think through tradeoffs and get to the right decision with conflicting information.
  • A “yes, and” creative mind who can build on ideas and find new ways to grab and hold attention.
  • You love media, storytelling, startup energy, and working on things that feel totally new.
