📐 About this role

The Revenue accountant is responsible for managing revenue recognition and ensuring accurate financial reporting of all revenue and related accounts. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, GTM Ops, and Customer Success departments to ensure alignment on revenue policies and procedures. The role will also work closely with the Controller and FP&A as a part of the broader finance and accounting organization.

🦸🏻‍♀️ Your responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts to ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards
  • Be responsible for revenue and related accounts during the monthly close process
  • Prepare monthly reports for management
  • Own the billing cycle, ensuring that the Accounts Receivable team is billing and collecting timely
  • Create revenue controls and procedures to ensure that we have processes in place to report accurately and timely
  • Assist in financial statement audits by providing necessary information and documentation related to revenue

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition standards and accounting principles
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and external parties
