What you will do

Apply machine learning, NLP, and deep learning methods to unstructured data sets and complex systems.

Conduct individual and collaborative cutting-edge research and development centered on NLP with focus on LLM.

Develop new algorithms and methods for optimizing our existing LLM.

Investigate and solve exciting and difficult challenges in machine learning, classification, data science, content analysis, and deep learning

Explore, develop and experiment with new features to improve model accuracy.

Research and evaluate innovative approaches to NLP problems.

Develop core systems and algorithms, including natural query understanding, entity detection etc.

Work in close partnership with Product and other Platform teams to identify new opportunities and ensure that key projects that are carried out in the team are delivered in a timely fashion.

Provide technical leadership to mid/junior level team members.

What do we look for

BS/MS or PhD ML or Natural Language Processing, mathematics, or a science field with strong data/ML component; or equivalent related professional experience.

Proven experience in NLP research, with a special focus on large language models (LLM).

Hands-on experience with LLMs fine-tuning and/or training.

Knowledge of machine learning algorithms such as dimensionality reduction (PCA, SVD, UMAP, t-SNE), decision trees, random forest, gradient boosted trees, logistic regression, DBSCAN, K-means, hierarchical clustering, deep learning (sequential models like RNN/LSTM, convolutional neural networks, attention-based transformers, GANs)

A strong aptitude for mathematics, particularly algebra and statistics.

Experience with SciKit-Learn, Keras, PyTorch and TensorFlow in building multilayer NNs; etc and other ML libraries.
