Senior/Staff AI Engineer

About the Role:

You.com is hiring a Senior/Staff AI Engineer to lead the development of AI across both Generative AI (e.g. LLMs) and Search. This role is dedicated to researching, building, and deploying new product experiences using the latest advances in AI that push the boundaries of what AI assistants can do.

Responsibilities:

  • Augment and manage the core you.com LLM & AI infra as well as surrounding backend infrastructure.
  • Drive the development of new projects from ideation to deployment. This includes deep expertise in areas such as early ideation & prototyping, research, infrastructure, scalability, monitoring, and evaluation of AI systems.
  • Ability to quickly iterate on a product based on user feedback in a rapidly changing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent programming and systems understanding
  • Independently driven and holds themselves to very high standards

Nice-to-have:

  • BS/PhD/MS in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related areas
  • Strong experience shipping and scaling AI products to a large number of users
  • Ability and a deep desire to do both research and core engineering work
