Staff AI Research Engineer

About the role:

You.com is hiring a Staff AI Research Engineer to lead the development of AI across both LLM and Search. This role is dedicated to pushing the state-of-the-art in what is capable for LLMs and Search.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build data pipelines for training, fine-tuning, and evaluating LLMs.
  • Optimize LLM inference for speed and quality.
  • Augment and manage the core infrastructure of you.com LLMs and the surrounding model management and orchestration.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience training, fine-tuning, improving, and maintaining large-scale LLMs.
  • Excellent programming and systems understanding
  • Independently driven and holds themselves to very high standards

Nice-to-have:

  • PhD/MS in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related areas
  • Experience building distributed systems for search, crawling the web, and data pipelines.
