Role 

As the Strategic Finance Lead at Harvey, you will play a crucial role in guiding the financial strategy, decision-making, and planning for our organization. You will report to the CFO and work closely with the executive team to shape the future of the company and provide key insights that drive business success. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and self-motivated professional with exceptional financial acumen and a proven track record in strategic financial leadership. 

Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategic finance function that will support the executive team in strategic decisions (resource investments, business planning, pricing, etc.)
  • Lead the company’s annual financial planning process supported by a detailed bottoms-up budget including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet projections
  • Build and own bottoms-up operating model which includes bookings and associated topline, cash collections, cost of sales, etc.
  • Identify and track business and departmental KPIs, uncover trends and assess current and future business risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate effectively cross-functionally to provide guidance and facilitate financial integration across the organization.
  • Utilize analytical skills to extract valuable insights from financial data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to inform strategic decisions. 
  • Establish a monthly/quarterly reporting package, and lead the preparation of presentation materials for the Executive team and Board
  • Ongoing improvement of financial processes and implementation of tools to enable automation and improve efficiency

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of relevant finance experience, including investment banking / private equity + high-growth start-up experience
  • Fundamental understanding of SaaS, subscription, and usage-based business model and KPIs
  • Strategic and systems thinker and expert analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, think critically and problem solve structurally in an ever-changing fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with excellent and proven cross-functional and business partnering skills
  • Experience with company systems including ERP and CRM systems
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field preferred

Compensation

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $200,000 and $250,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program. Benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits (401k match up to 4%), and flexible PTO.
