Solutions Engineer (San Francisco)
Lakera is looking for a Solutions Engineer to help supercharge the implementations and product experience of our early customers. In this customer-facing role, you will be the primary technical point of contact for customers during both sales and post-sales implementation. You will deeply understand the customer’s technical needs and help identify and architect solutions using Lakera’s AI security platform.
You will partner closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Product as you ensure that Lakera is able to deliver on its mission of helping the top enterprises secure their AI stacks and supercharge their developers to deliver on cutting edge AI use cases. Your strong combination of communication and interpersonal skills alongside your technical chops will put you at the forefront of the most interesting AI innovation across the industry.

What You’ll Do:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers evaluating Lakera. Work to understand their needs and design solutions using Lakera’s platform that will align with their infrastructure.
- Partner closely with our Customer Success team to plan and execute post-sales implementations, ensuring that our customers are able to get set up with Lakera quickly and effectively and get the most out of our platform.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and guides to help streamline pre- and post-sales processes.
- Support product configuration and land small technical changes needed to enable customer implementations.
- Potentially travel occasionally as needed to work hands-on with customers or to provide technical training.
- Act as a bridge between customers and product engineering teams to highlight areas of opportunity across the platform from your work with our customers.
- Help lay the foundations for future growth of the Sales Engineering team by creating playbooks and repeatable best practices.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar role.
- A track record of managing relationships with large, complex organizations, preferably with a deeply technical enterprise product.
- Proficiency coding in the Python and Javascript ecosystems.
- A track record of enabling large scale implementations in at least one of the hyperscalers (AWS,GCP, Azure). Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- An understanding of and experience navigating security, compliance, and IT processes and requirements when implementing B2B products at large enterprises.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a comfort presenting in front of customers 1:1, in small groups, and at large conference venues..
- A track record of working directly with customers of varying sizes, including large enterprises.
- An organized, self-starter approach with an eye for finding creative ways to get projects to the finish line.
- A passion for what AI can do for the good of humanity and a desire to ensure that it is implemented in a secure and ethical way.
- Comfortable in a small and fast moving startup environment.
Location: San Francisco.
