Position: Senior Software Engineer

Duties: Design and implement software features by gathering requirements, understanding system

architecture and processes, identifying problem areas, and following the software development

lifecycle. Utilize backend frameworks, REST API Design and Python to develop product features

from design through planning and implementation. Work cross-functionality with Design and

Quality Assurance teams to ensure that delivered feature meets the product requirements. Scale the

data storage infrastructure by modeling relational and NoSQL data on data stores such as Postgres

and MongoDb. Utilize information retrieval concepts and technologies such as Lucent and

ElasticSearch to develop document search and serving platform. Develop libraries that import data

from external Enterprise sub-systems such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Kustomer and TalkDesk.

Develop external integrations using API integrations and protocols such as OAuth and other

authentication mechanisms. Enhance and improve the Observability stack by setting up

appropriate counters and graphs to monitor production systems and flows, by using components

such as Logstash, Grafana and Prometheus. Participate in design reviews, evaluate technical trade-

offs, and make technical and architectural decisions to improve the software systems.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-call support by conducting investigations,

performing root cause analysis and maintaining an incident log.

Education Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or

related field.

Experience Required: 3 years of experience as Software Development Engineer, Technology Analyst, or related

occupation

Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:

1. Software development using REST APIs, backend frameworks, and Python.

2. Modeling relational and NoSQL data using Postgres and MongoDB.

3. Information retrieval technologies Lucent and ElasticSearch.

4. Data import libraries using distributed systems and multi-tenant architectures.

5. External integrations using API integrations and protocol OAuth

6. Counters and graphs using Logstash, Grafana, and Prometheus.

TELECOMMUTING: Position allows telecommuting. Applicant may reside anywhere in U.S. and reports to the

Mountain View, CA office. Any incurred business travel will be fully reimbursed.

Salary: $234,062 to $240,000 per year
