Staff Software Engineer (f/m/d)*
YOUR MISSION:
Parloa’s Platform Engineering aims to provide effective and simple solutions and to advance our infrastructure operability. We create and operate services that our engineers’ and customers’ success depend on. As a Staff Platform Engineer (f/m/d)* for our Voice Platform, you will have the opportunity to develop the strategy and support our mission to revolutionize the contact center industry. You will work in a cross-functional environment that values diversity of thought and innovation.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Define the technical direction for our domain
- Optimize our engineering organization to grow and achieve objectives
- Identify gaps and influence the design, quality, security, and availability of our platform
- Partner with other engineering teams to improve performance, observability, and reliability, and set targets and SLOs to make sure we adhere to them
- Provide architectural guidance and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision
- Act as a thought leader, mentoring other engineers, and sharing best practices with the company
Our Tech stack:
React/Redux, TypeScript, NodeJS, Inversify, NestJS, Lerna, Koa, Jest, Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, Redis
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Multiple years of experience as a Staff Software Engineer
- Proficiency in designing, building and operating reliable software systems for low latency processing and streaming
- Expertise in Node.js / Typescript, pub/sub and other asynchronous messaging patterns and related systems
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-code, e.g. Terraform
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and technical communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to raise the bar on operational excellence
- Experience in mentoring fellow engineers
NICE TO HAVE:
- Hands-on experience building programmable voice and video APIs
- Hands-on experience with open-source RTC solutions, like signalling proxies, B2BUAs and WebRTC gateways
- Solid understanding of RTC protocols
