Senior Platform Engineer

Senior Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating reliable, scalable, and secure platforms that support our critical business processes and applications. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement through automation and innovation.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of highly available and scalable platform components, including containerization, orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

Review engineering designs with an eye for scalability, availability and security.

Build and automate deployment workflows for platform components.

Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure platform health and performance.

Proactively troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations. Manage server infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, and patching.

Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline platform operations and tasks.

Identify opportunities for automation and propose solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal platform tooling.

Collaborate effectively with engineers, security team, IT and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical expertise.

Requirements

5+ years of experience

Strong understanding of one of the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.

Deep understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, routing, and network access control.

Proven experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer).

Proven expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong proficiency in scripting languages and experience with infrastructure automation tools.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.).
