The Facility Security Officer will provide overall management and direction of security related programs for the site. Additionally, the candidate will maintain classified government contract programs and provide oversight of day-to-day operations within a cleared facility in the personnel, information protection, physical security, and security awareness fields.
What You'll Do:
Demonstrate knowledge of DCSA security reviews, security clearances, security training/briefings, classifications and markings, safeguarding classified information, visits and meetings, subcontracting, DD254’s, Information System Security, COMSEC, OPSEC, International Security Requirements, and Special Requirements. Manage and lead all physical and procedural security programs and efforts at the site (to include management of contract guard force and associated after-hours alarm triage). Develop processes that ensure compliance and protection of company assets with growing International Security, ITAR/EAR, and CUI restrictions. Ensure employees have proper company and government issued identification. Provide support for physical security practices and foreign national visitor records. Oversee physical security implementation for International Visits and product demonstrations. Maintains classified contracts files, DD 254s, interpret classification guides, and prepare Department of Defense contract security classification specifications for subcontractors as needed and Security Classification Guidance (SCG) interpretation. Develop a relationship with internal teammates to ensure execution of classified contractual obligations and implement from cradle to grave Utilize government security systems such as DISS, NISS, EAPP, SWFT, NBIS, OBMS etc., and training sites such as STEPP and CDSE. Maintain frequent contact and a working relationship with DCSA representative and provide reports as required. Interprets, implements, and maintains a highly effective security program consistent with all regulatory, government policies, and provides supplemental guidance to the business and leaders. Administer and maintain security related files, such as personnel files, company records, visitor records, self-inspection records, indoctrinations, briefings, and DCSA correspondence. Provides required security education and conducts caveat briefings such as courier, foreign travel, NATO, and container briefings as deemed necessary. Conduct annual self-inspections in accordance with the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM to confirm current compliance status and determine a mitigation strategy for instances of non-compliance. Implement the corporate Insider Threat Program onsite. Change safe lock combinations and maintain a classified document control system as deemed necessary. Required Qualifications:
Four-year college degree and two years of relevant and related security industry experience, or in lieu of a degree must have five plus years in depth industrial security experience associated with the National Industrial Security Program. Five plus years’ experience as an FSO, CPSO, or CSSO. Extensive knowledge of the 32 CFR 117, DoD Directives and ICDs. Thorough knowledge of security related software and the ability to use Microsoft software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Must be a US Citizen. Completion of FSO with Safeguarding certification. Must have a Top-Secret clearance. Must be capable of dealing tactfully and courteously with all levels of employees and customers. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Possess high moral and ethical standards. Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.
