Our mission is to become the de facto way people learn foreign languages. We begin by teaching the next billion people English and Spanish.

English is the global language of business, culture, and communication, and over 1.5 billion people around the world are actively trying to learn right now. Others dream of communicating with the half-billion native Spanish speakers across the globe. The problem is that it's nearly impossible to learn to speak a language without constant access to a speaking partner. Grammar and vocab apps don't really help – you need to actually converse with someone.

Speak is on a journey to fix this. We're creating an AI-powered experience that replicates the flow of a conversation, without needing a human on the other end. The goal is to make it radically more accessible to be able to have conversations in a foreign language and eventually help hundreds of millions of people gain fluency who otherwise wouldn't be able to.

We started on this journey over five years ago and we've still got a long ways to go. We're thoughtfully adding new team members only when we think they can truly play a big role in our mission.

Speak launched first in South Korea where we have quickly grown to become the top grossing education app in the country. We have now delivered this winning product to more than 30 countries globally and are continuing to expand to more markets in the coming months. The company is well funded, raising a recent Series B backed by investors like OpenAI, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Lachy Groom, Josh Buckley, and others. We’re a team of 60 based primarily in SF, Seoul, Tokyo, and Ljubljana.

About this role

As a B2B Marketer for Speak, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our business-focused solutions in Korea. This role involves crafting and executing marketing strategies that resonate with business clients, particularly amongst L&D and corporate benefits buyers. You will work closely with both the sales and product teams to create compelling content and campaigns that effectively communicate the value of our offerings to enterprises.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies that align with business objectives and increase our footprint in the Korean market.
  • Create and execute lead generation campaigns that attract and convert high-quality leads into customers, using a mix of digital, event, and content marketing tactics.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to refine messaging and tools for sales enablement, ensuring consistency across all communications and maximizing impact.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to adapt marketing strategies and content, ensuring they remain relevant and impactful.
  • Organize and participate in industry events and webinars to elevate brand presence and engage directly with potential clients.
  • Manage the creation of marketing materials, including case studies, whitepapers, email campaigns, and promotional videos, tailored to the needs and interests of Korean businesses.
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve the best results.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience with at least 5+ years in B2B marketing, focusing on lead generation and thought leadership, ideally within the tech or education sectors, and a deep understanding of the Korean business environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and execute effective marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English, capable of crafting compelling narratives that resonate with a business audience.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems, email marketing software, and social media advertising.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • A results-driven mindset, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes in lead generation and brand engagement.
