Who You Are:

You are an accomplished Accounting professional with a strong track record of success in building strong accounting foundations for scale. You have worked with companies that anchor in both hardware and software components, giving you a clear understanding of supply chain practices and how to incorporate those nuances into accounting practices and reporting. You work successfully in a remote or hybrid work environment (in the SFO or Lehi, UT area, you can work from an office with colleagues; in all other areas of the USA, you will work remotely). You have a strong understanding of broader financial processes and strategies, and enjoy being hands-on as well as strategic. You are a strong leader with prior experience in people management, and have worked in startup or high growth environments.

What Excites You:

  • Building and managing day-to-day accounting functions like A/P, A/R, collections and general ledger activities
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including managing successful monthly, quarterly and annual statements and closings
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations
  • Owning and overseeing bi-monthly payroll and expense reimbursement processes completed by the Sr. Accountant
  • Being a power-user of NetSuite as well as being a thought partner in its design, customization and maintenance
  • Owning external audit processes, coordinating with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed
  • Working closely with cross functional stakeholders to understand and integrate supply chain data into financial reporting
  • Contributing to the development of financial strategies, forecasts and budgets
  • Hiring, developing, motivating and retaining and high performance accounting team

What Gets Our Attention:

  • Proven experience in managing day-to-day accounting operations
  • Prior experience working in businesses involving both hardware and software
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and their integration into financial workflows and systems
  • In depth knowledge of NetSuite
  • Solid leadership skills, with a strong track record of hiring, developing and retaining top talent
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to speak to financial and non-finance stakeholders
  • Prior experience working in a startup environment
  • At least 10 years of experience working in accounting roles with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance; commensurate work experience may be considered
  • CPA is a plus

What’s In It For You:

  • Annual Base Salary Range: $138,000 - $200,000. Offered salary will be based on the offered candidate’s demonstrated attributes and competencies related to the role, as well as the offered candidate’s geographical location within the United States.
