Clipdrop provides easy to use, AI based content generation and edition tools with an expertise on images. Those tools are available on the clipdrop.co & cleanup.pictures websites, the Clipdrop mobile apps and via external HTTP APIs.

About the role
We design and develop innovative AI first tools and are seeking a passionate, creative and driven backend engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing scalable server side applications, interacting with other teams to optimize workloads & interfaces and taking our ML models to production for quick and efficient inference.

Responsibilities 

• Participate in system architecture design & decisions
• Design, develop, and maintain internal & external APIs and micro services
• Collaborate with the frontend team and product managers to implement new features
• Work with our research team to optimize and take their models to production
• Take on some DevOps responsibilities to maintain high up time and security
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of our products
• Document system-level design, data flow, and architectural decisions

Qualifications (or what you will bring)

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred 5 years of experience in backend engineering or excellent skillset
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python (experience in other typed languages is valued)
• Experience with MLOps tools and principles
• Familiarity with data storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL, etc.)
• Experience working with machine learning models
• Familiar with Git and their usual hosts (Github / Gitlab)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
