About the role

Our talent team is looking for a versatile utility player to further grow the talented Tome team. This role will touch all recruiting areas with a heavy focus on; scheduling, sourcing, closing, and operations.

We are a fast-growing startup, and you'll get exposure and experience across many areas of recruiting and HR. We are looking for a utility player that can primarily help us hire top talent while also helping to build and establish processes and best practices.

This role will involve working on established and brand-new positions across engineering but many more as they arise.



What you’ll do

• Schedule, identify passive candidates, find creative ways to capture their attention during initial outreach stages, and close top talent candidates.
• Conduct thorough candidate phone screens to assess both a technical baseline and the ability to succeed at Tome.
• Focus on providing a great candidate experience at every opportunity.
• You will be a talent advisor and partner to the technical leaders and hiring managers, advising on how to identify and attract talent to Tome.
• Leverage cutting-edge recruiting technology and tools to streamline the recruitment process.

Who you are

• You have 3+ years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating offers, and closing candidates.
• You have in-depth knowledge of front-end, full-stack, backend/infra, SRE, and ML engineering.
• You can dig into details, learn from mistakes, and determine the underlying reasons for bad and good outcomes.
• You have experience closing candidates in early-stage companies.
• Knowledge of recruitment best practices and the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
• You have experience working at an early-stage startup and are exceptionally organized and efficient.
