About The Role

We are hiring a world-class data scientist to shape our marketing and product growth strategy using actionable data-driven insights. As an early member of the Data Science team, you will have the chance to work cross-functionally in the understanding of marketing campaigns and product funnels, driving the growth of the world's most accurate and creative AI assistant. You are an ideal candidate if you take pride in your dual expertise as both a software engineer and a data scientist, working on projects end-to-end to understand user behavior and growth.

You will:

  • Partner with our Marketing and Product teams to acquire, engage, and convert users and customers around the globe at different stages in the funnel.
  • Build and deploy machine learning and statistical models such as Multi-touch attribution, Customer Lifetime Value, Segmentation, propensity to buy, and time-series forecasting end to end from concept to production using tools like Git, Pyspark, and Airflow.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines tailored for marketing attribution analysis, product funnel optimization, and managing user state machines.
  • Use advanced statistical modeling and machine learning methodologies to uncover causal connections between user behavior and their conversions, and develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of Marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute A/B tests, identify impactful business questions, conduct deep-dive analysis, and communicate findings and actionable recommendations to audiences at all levels to drive data-driven decisions.

You have:

  • A BS in Computer Science and equivalent 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
  • Strong experience writing production-quality code in Python and Spark, including Spark SQL, DataFrames, Spark Streaming, RDD caching, Spark MLib, and the ability to debug and optimize Spark code.
  • Proven track record working with large datasets of sparse, high-dimensional data. Experience in pre-processing and analyzing such data using statistical techniques to gain actionable insights and identify potential risks for the model.
  • Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Proficiency with relational data modeling and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – you pride yourself on being able to talk to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods including A/B Testing, experimental design, regression, causal inference with observational data, and time series modeling.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the machine learning methods such as classification, ranking, and clustering.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of working with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of independence and initiative in tackling complex problems.
